About Girl Scouting > What is Girl Scouting?

Girl Scouting is a values-based organization of dedicated volunteers who care about our community and especially the girls in it.

Girl Scouting today provides a safe, supportive way for girls to explore their interests such as computers and technology, careers, the environment, personal finance and sports.

Girl Scouting welcomes all girls, ages 5 to 17, regardless of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, physical ability or economic situation. Financial assistance is available for all or a portion of the national membership registration fee.

Girl Scouts of Santiam Council is a not-for-profit corporation incorporated by the State of Oregon and chartered by Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. to provide Girl Scouting to all girls within our jurisdiction--Benton, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties
