Junior
Girl Scouts are ages 9-11 or grades 4-6.
Do you look around at new and interesting things and think,
“I’d like to try that!” That’s
what Junior Girl Scouting is all about.
| As a
Junior Girl Scout you can: |
- Try your hand at
everything from photography and dramatics to fashion and
computers.
- Sharpen your
outdoor skills on weekend camping trips or at summer camp.
- Tour backstage at
a musical or play.
- Go cross-country
skiing or snow shoeing.
- Participate in
Girl Sports activities.

Junior Girl Scouts may earn proficiency badges, signs, Junior Aid Bar and
Junior Girl Scout Leadership Pin and the Girl Scout Bronze Award. As a
Junior Girl Scout, you and your troop decide how much dues will be, how
often they are collected, who will collect them and how they will be
spent. You can also participate in product sales; nuts in the fall and
cookies in the spring. Uniforms are not required, but as a troop you may
want to have a sash or vest to hold your badges. Junior Girl Scout troops
are the perfect place for girls to practice and strengthen leadership
skills. The troop works together to make decision and to choose
activities.
