Volunteer Recognitions
- Show them just how much we care!
We love our volunteers! Everyday volunteers
deliver on Juliette Gordon Low’s vision by renewing their
commitment to give every girl, everywhere the opportunity to
be a Girl Scout. Quite simply, without our volunteers there
would be no Girl Scouting. Girl Scouts of Santiam Council
recognizes the time and dedication our adult volunteers give
to open up a lifetime of opportunities for our young women.
Every year at special service unit events we strive to
honor volunteers whose efforts sincerely focus on making the
Girl Scout experience good for girls, have gone above and
beyond, exceeded expectations, and made significant
contributions. The recognition system applies at every level
and area of the council’s structure and jurisdiction. Leaders,
parents, friends in the community, service unit personnel,
council staff, board members, and all partners of Girl
Scouting can be recognized for their support of Girl
Scouting.
Call for Nominations!
Adults join Girl Scouting to be of service to girls. Their
reward comes in associations with girls and other adults
dedicated to a higher purpose.
However, community recognitions are a signal to the recipient
that she/he is noticed and appreciated. You can participate
in thanking and recognizing those adults who are making a
difference in the lives of girls by nominating someone you
know for an award. For questions about how to nominate
someone, contact Michelle Laseter at the council service
center (
mlaseter@girlscoutsofsantiam.org ).
The
following Service Unit, Special Recognitions and Council Level
Awards are open for nominations. Take a look and celebrate
individual contributions by making a nomination for that
individual who has gone above and beyond.
