Council Opportunities
In addition to working directly
with girls at the troop or neighborhood service team level, there is a wide
range of other volunteer opportunities that exist. The council is always in need of assistance and input in many
areas, including membership, fund development, communications and program.
No matter what your experience, your age, or the amount of time you have to
give, we can use you. And girls grow strong because of your involvement. Besides making a difference in girls' lives, volunteering provides
opportunities for adults to enrich their skills in areas such as
management, leadership, fund raising activities, event coordination,
public speaking and organizing.
There's also the opportunity to meet new friends and create new ways to
pursue your interests.
-
Become a trainer
Becoming a council trainer is a
fun and rewarding way to get involved with Girl Scouting. Council trainers
become certified and conduct educational workshops, which help volunteer
leaders better serve the girls in their area.
-
Join an Operating Team
Girl Scouts of Santiam Council
has a variety of Operating Teams in which you can participate. From Fund Development to
Awards & Recognitions, our committees are always
looking for additional volunteers to help bring Girl Scouting to every girl,
everywhere.
-
Participate as a board member
Girl Scouts of Santiam Council seeks women
and men representing varied civic, business, and community organizations
with skills and expertise in policy-making/governance to define goals, plan,
and manage change.
