Service Unit Team

Girl Scouts of Santiam Council supports adult volunteers through a neighborhood service team (commonly referred to as a service unit) volunteer structure. A service unit is comprised of Girl Scout troops in a specific geographic location: there are 19 active service units throughout our council jurisdiction. To view a list of specific areas and  support staff click service units or support staff. Girl Scouts of Santiam encourages each geographical area to select volunteers to be part of the service unit’s leadership team. The service unit manager is the key administrative volunteer in a geographic area. This position, along with all the others on the Service Unit Team is vital to the foundation of Girl Scouting. The service unit team usually meets once a month to exchange ideas, present program resources and training, and network. In addition, in order to ensure the safety and well being of the girl and adult members of Girl Scouts of Santiam Council, all prospective and current staff, board members and volunteers are required to pass a criminal background check.
