The Latina Outreach program’s
purpose is to reach out to individuals and communities whose first language
may be Spanish and tell them about all the Girl Scout program has to
offer. Our Latina Specialist
presents information in Spanish (written and spoken), develops Girl Scout
troops in areas with high Latina populations, and encourages adults to
become involved in Girl Scouts and learn to lead the groups.
In our efforts to reach “every girl, everywhere” we support and
promote volunteers who work with Latina girls.
There is always a need for bilingual volunteers to work with groups
of Latina girls and/or to work with troops who have Latina girls and need
assistance in communicating with the girls or their parents.
