Karen Wilkens, a
Junior Girl Scout from troop #364, will be collecting puzzles, board games,
books and VHS videos from now until April 30th to be given to area
family shelters and senior community residents in Salem. She will use this
project to earn her Bronze award, the highest award given to a Junior Girl
Scout.
"With so many people changing their video library to
DVD’s this is a great way to recycle VHS videos and entertainment items you no
longer need, letting others in the community enjoy your favorites. Displaced
families and seniors hold a special place in my heart. Please help me provide
them with entertainment and earn my Bronze award." said Karen.
Collection boxes are in the lobby of all West Salem
Elementary Schools through April 30th. For questions or to arrange a
pick-up call Terry Lynn at (503) 371-8032.
