Girl Scouts Celebrate Leader's Day

Thursday, April 22, Girl Scouts say "thank you" to Girl Scout leaders for their service to girls. Many committed women and men dedicate their time and energy to helping girls become strong, successful women through the Girl Scout program. Throughout the Stayon area, Girl Scouts will be planting flowers, creating personal cards and unique gifts in gratitude for their Girl Scout Leaders.

Girl Scouts of Santiam Council serves 4,266 members in Benton, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Polk, and Yamhill counties. Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s leading organization dedicated solely to girls – all girls – where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skill for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, Girl Scouts cultivate their full individual potential. The qualities they develop in Girl Scouting – leadership, values, social conscience, and conviction about their own self-worth – serve them all their lives.
