Girl Scout troop #145 from Corvallis, along
with other Girl Scout troops from the Corvallis area and Girl Scouts of Santiam
Council, will be sending Girl Scout cookies to military personnel deployed
overseas. Each year, as part of the Girl Scout
cookie program, troops participate in the community service project, "Gift of
Caring." As a part of this community service project, packages will be delivered
by Girl Scouts to food banks, senior citizen centers, women and children’s
shelters, and family crisis and abuse centers, as well as, being mailed to
military personnel overseas. Each troop will decide which organization they will
distribute their "Gift of Caring" packages to.
You can help by making a donation or purchasing an
additional box of cookies from one of the many Girl Scout cookie booths in your
community. If you know someone who is deployed overseas who would enjoy a box of
Girl Scout cookies, contact Kelly Ronning at (503) 581-2451 to purchase a box or
two and they will be shipped for you. Girl Scouts of Santiam Council will make
every effort to ensure that each name received will receive a box of Girl Scout
cookies. Help bring the Girl Scout cookie tradition to our men and women of our
military who are deployed overseas.
Girl Scouts of Santiam Council serves 4,266 members in
