Girl Scouts of Santiam Council would like to thank Corvallis Mayor Helen Berg for taking the time to attend our council-wide event, The Party of Girls, in Salem on October 2.

This event celebrated girls and the opportunities girls have to be leaders in their communities. Mayor Berg graciously hosted the activity table where girls were able to write a letter to the President of the United States. She engaged over 100 girls in conversation throughout the event and talked to them about their potential. We really appreciate the time and effort Mayor Berg took to help make the event a success. She is a wonderful example for girls to emulate.
